My 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit Experience Part 1

Honestly, I really don’t know where to start (LOL)… Well, a lot of Mindanao bloggers already had their post about the event and I wasn’t able to post sooner because I was so tired from the four-hour trip going back to Davao, and when I woke up the next day I’ve been coughing already and I really don’t feel good (pero naka-online at plurk pa ha for a while hahaha… pasaway!).

The night before the event, I went to Ghenessa’s place and stayed for the night so we could go to the terminal together at dawn. We haven’t got much sleep because we’d been talking a lot. I think I had just slept for an hour or two. I was kidding her about my MBS2 pass being lost and when we were on the terminal waiting for Richel and Glester to arrive, I couldn’t find my pass! And I don’t know where could it be. Wahh! Ghenessa on the other hand, forgot to bring any of her ID’s (nag-uban ang mga tangent alpha, tsk3!) So, she texted Richel and asks if she could bring a copy of her passport or NBI clearance. It's a good thing Che has a copy of her passport in their home and she brought it with her, but my pass is still lost and couldn’t find it, I then thought that maybe I could just let them show my pass on the laptop instead? I was hoping it would work.

After a few minutes of waiting, the bus set off and so we try to get some sleep. The bus stopped at Digos City for a few minutes then there I saw a familiar figure and it was Kuya Henry. I first met him at WordCamp Davao and we share a common friend too, Fern, who wasn’t able to go to the summit. He was sitting at the front near the driver that’s why I didn’t see him.

I didn’t get much sleep on the bus because of the bumpy ride. We arrived at General Santos City at around 6:15 a.m. (I think). We ride a tricycle going to Family Country Hotel where the event would be held and where we would stay for the night. While I was getting ready on what things to bring on the summit I saw my MBS2 pass finally! It was just behind the laptop, LOL. After checking in, we went to the Convention Hall, and there we were greeted by Mr. Avel Manansala. A few bloggers are already there and I can see a few familiar faces. Had a quick conversation with Sir Avel and the others and of course picture2x (mawala pa ba na?).

After a while, the registration started which by the way sponsored by ACLC. I was typing a few details about myself when all of a sudden ‘nag-brown out!’ Toinkz! In a few minutes the electricity was back but in a short while, it hit again. Waahh!!! Buti na lang nasave ko na. it didn’t last that long naman, good thing it came back sooner and didn’t bother to disturb us again, hehehe…

The event’s theme was “Minadawon Paminawon Intawon: Blogging the Mindanao Consciousness”. It aims to encourage us about the Mindanao consciousness. Of how we, as bloggers will help to clean the image of Mindanao from other people’s view, especially the people from Luzon and outside the country as well, where ‘Danger’ is the word that I think would first come out of their minds whenever they hear the word Mindanao. My family and I became one of those people too when we became one of the victims of the tragic incident that had happened at the Davao Airport. But behind all those bombing incidents, we’re still here, after all, we were born and raised here. We still worry about it sometimes but we have to move on and for now, I guess we as Mindanao Bloggers will have to unite and start making Mindanao a place like any other in the country. Mindanao has a lot of potentials especially on the agricultural side and aside from being tagged as the Country’s Fruit basket, we had all the resources that have yet to be developed and maintained. A lot of beautiful places to tour around and some hidden paradises yet to be discovered. And that was what Pierre Galla of Filipno Voices tries to insinuate.

Voices from Mindanao heartroots by Walter Balane of Istambay sa Mindanao and Hector MiƱoza of MinadanaoKini share their insights about Mindanao consciousness too. There was an open Forum and bloggers exchange ideas and asked questions to the speakers.

After those speeches, Lunch was served. I was really sleepy after eating (nyahhaha… murag sawa.). Well, I guess I'm not the only one who feels that way, I knew a lot of the bloggers are kinda sleepy too (Agree? Agree na lang mo, LOL). Our MBS2 passes were collected earlier for the raffle and my name was one of the lucky ones to be picked, I WON a ‘Blogging from Home’ book by Janette Toral, thanks for sponsoring the event by the way.

Aileen Apolo of Google Philippines shares some blogging tips and Google goodies for us. I didn’t know na ka-plurk ko pala siya (towengwengweng! Nalaman ko nalang when I reached Davao na). Ria Jose who has more than ten blogs talks about Blogging the Entrepreneurial Way of Life. The next speaker is Bobby Timonera, a photojournalist who is now Photoblogging images of Mindanao. I really admire his works, I was amazed when I looked at his photos and all I could say is ‘Wow’, see his works at The Land of Promise if you want to see the Beauty of Mindanao.

Shout-outs for bloggers of the different niches were there to speak about their blogs. Dr Bone MD from Sultan Kudarat and an Outdoor Lifestyle Blogger. A Tech Blogger, from Davao Migs Hipolito. Mikko Gozalo a Student Blogger from Gensan. Food Blogger, Blogie Robillo, a Food Blogger, whose blog was awarded as one of the Top Ten Influential Blogs of 2008. Avel Manansala, a Place Blogger. Lyle Santos, a blogger from Davao shares his Google Adsense tips with us.

Then the 1st Summit Resolution was being presented. We were given a break and next is the Sashimi Night Cocktails by the General Santos City Tourism Association. It was my first time eating Sashimi and it was good. hehehe… City Mayor Jun Acharon came and joined us. Food trip… Picture taking… Getting to know the other bloggers…

I have finally met my fellow bisdakplanet friends Elaine (in pink) and Rosilee (in red) who were from GenSan.

Next is the Fellowship Dinner tendered by the Hon. Cong. Darlene Anotonio-Custodio, Thank You to all the Sponsors who had contributed to making the summit a successful one. Dinners are served when the Teatrong Ambahanon shocked us all with their R18 show (LOL)… A lot of bloggers paused for a while to watch the show and took some videos and photos. It was a great show by the way, kinda unique but great. Then there’s a live band and the bloggers sing along and dance with them till they give up, hahahaha…

This event wouldn’t be possible without the sponsors, and I would like to say 'Thank You so much especially to the staff of Family Country Hotel for returning my necklace to me, which I accidentally left in our room when we checked out.

Photos of the event can be found here on My Web Album: 2nd Mindanao Blogging Summit.

Whew! Thanks for reading my super duper long post… Abangan may Part 2 pa! Nyay! LOL.

Blog Earnings

I have been blogging for a year already but it was just a few months ago when I was active in blogging and started to monetize this blog of mine and started to write reviews, post ads and links into my blogs. For all the people who thinks they can't make money online, well, I tell you, You Can! Well, that's if you have the patience and hardwork (char!) hehehe....

I had received some earnings from these sites... Hopefully there would be more blog tasks to come. I rarely had one these days, maybe because my PR has dropped to zer0. :(

Smorty - $12.00 (The very first payment I got online)
Bloggerwave - $20.00
PPP - $13.00
Blogsvertise - $67 ($34 pending)
SponsoredReviews -$56.50 ($6.50 pending)
BuyBlogReviews - $3.50
ReviewMe - $15
SocialSpark - $55.53 ($5 pending)

All in all, I've got $242.53 earnings (including the pending payments) for the past three or four months.... Whew! Not that rewarding but still it's MONEY!!! Thanks to all of my advertiser and publishers (tama ba akoang term? lolz).

I am hoping my Adsense earnings would reach their minimum payout which is $100.00 but it's still half way to go... But I won't lose hope, wehehehe....

But I guess my time here in the blogosphere would be minimized, worst, will be over? (Wag naman sana...) But got lots of problems and issues around... Some people don't understand why I am always in front of the computer, though I try to minimize that except if I really had a lot of reviews to make online. And right now I still have some pending reviews waiting to be done.... Hay, wala lang... maka-wala ug gana... hay... I hope someday they would understand... This may not be a stable job for me but I love what I'm doing and at the same time I'm earning from doing the things that I love to do... Great for me, but not for them... I will not be blogging forever, I want a nice career (again) but no one is still calling... So I blog while waiting.... Drama ko nah... gonna end this entry na. coz I have pending tasks to do pa... and by that words.... I smell MONEY... nyahahahaha....

The Keys to Your Heart

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when your partner is patient and never willing to give up on you.

You'd like to your lover to think you are optimistic and happy.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage pessimistically. You don't think happy marriages exist anymore.

In this moment, you think of love as something you don't need. You just feel like flirting around and playing right now.

What Are The Keys To Your Heart?

I just can't agree with the last paragraph... I'm not just playing around.. hmp... hehehe..

Reasons...

I haven't updated this blog that much for a while and I have some reasons why...

I was sick... Yeah... I rarely got sick but when it do strikes me it stays for a while... At the start of the week I had a stomach ache, really bad one... I think it's not the normal stomach ache that I used to have way back... I almost cried when it hurts... After that I got a fever and headache...

See the color Green? That's my temperature. If there's no Green (daw) in between Blue and Brown, yun yung temperature ko.... Well, that's according to FeverScan...

But now I am okay and back to blogging... Well, I still do check out my mails and blogs, plurks and friendster even I was sick (hahaha... pasaway!) but I only stay for a few minutes in front of the computer and would rest na. Before the week ends I am starting tof eel Okay, Thank goodness! :) I am finally back to the Blogging World again! Nyahahaha...

By the way, did you notice my New Lay-Out?? Tell me what do you think? Nice diba? diba? I liked it! Yeah, Thanks To Choco for making this Lay-Out for me, for FREE! Because I am Charming, Beautiful, Kind..... blah... blah.. blah.. I was just kidding! hahahaha... Anyways, Thank you again Choc! By the way, she's one of the member of BisdakPlanet Community too. She sent me the XML file early today and I immediately tried it, and BOOM!!! It became Coco Crunch! Nyahaha.. Joke! Hmm... This serves as an early birthday present na, she might not know it but you have very nice present for me na Choc. Wehehehe...

Random Thoughts #3

I was clearing my things again, it’s all messed up… I throw the papers and whatever it is that I don’t need any more. Then I saw this piece of paper and read its content… Here it is…

“From the first time I saw you, my heart keeps saying it’s you. And every time I see you, I stop and watch you, thinking and dreaming of you. Wondering if you truly know how special you are to me. To me you are my life, my world and everything”.

“I find everything I could ask for in my life when I look into your eyes, and if ever I could have a thousand wishes, I wish you would be able to know how much I LOVE YOU. Yes, I love you and I mean it with all my heart. Cause after all this time I‘ve been always wanting to let you know it. To let you know that my love for you is truly broad, that nobody could ever break, because I love you then, I love you now and for always and forever”.

I thought it was a lyric of a song but it was just one of my writings… I remember I used to write what I feel (LOL) anything and everything, I would write it in a paper or in any of my notebooks and whatever is available at that time. Then I saw a guy’s name at the bottom, ‘twas dedicated for him… hhmmm… things had changed over the years… I am over with that guy (thank goodness!). But he was worth loving than the guy I was in love with right now…

Anyways, I also found these small pieces of paper cut in one fourths with a Positive and Negative written on each side. I remember this was one of the activities that we had 8 years ago, whew! Hahaha I’ve had these papers with me for that long… okay just want to share it with you, these are what they think are my Positive and negative personality or as a whole (unedited to ha LOL).

Positive: Negative:

By person #1: mabait and good thinker - medyo strict

By person #2: Buotan, behave and eager to learn

By person #3: good matching of clothes and quite beautiful

By person #4: pretty and intelligent

By person #5: Okey na Okey

I was really flattered after the papers had been passed back to me. I can remember I was wearing a very loose blue T-shirt at that time matched with a loose blue pants (kani laging boyish ta sauna).

Hhhmm…. Grabeng bukhad sakoang atay ani nga time…. Nyahahaha….

”2nd

Yeah! I am joining the 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit which will be held at General Santos City. I haven't got the chance to join the 1st Mindanao Bloggers Summit because I was hesitant to join since I was just new into blogging at that time. I rarely knew anyone in the Blogosphere. But now, I don't want to miss this chance anymore. I invited one of my best friend who is new to blogging to come and join this wonderful event. It will be a great opportunity for her to meet our fellow Mindanao bloggers out there. I've been to General Santos once and it is a 3 hours ride from Davao City, I got this 'biyahilo' sickness in me and I really get dizzy when travelling, worst I would throw up! Even if I take a medicine I would still feel dizzy but that doesn't stop me from travelling. :D
