WALL-E

Watched WALL-E just this week with a friend. It's a funny, heart warming animated film not just for the younger ones but for the adults too... :)

In a distant, but not so unrealistic future, where mankind has abandoned earth because it has become covered with trash from products sold by the powerful multi-national Buy N Large corporation, WALL-E, a garbage collecting robot has been left to clean up the mess. Mesmerized with trinkets of earth's history and show tunes, WALL-E is alone on Earth except for a sprightly pet cockroach. One day, Eve, a sleek (and dangerous) reconnaissance robot, is sent to earth to find proof that life is once again sustainable. WALL-E falls in love with Eve. WALL-E rescues Eve from a dust storm and shows her a living plant he found amongst the rubble. Consistent with her "directive" Eve takes the plant and automatically enters a deactivated state except for a blinking green beacon. WALL-E, doesn't understand what has happened to his new friend, but true to his love, he protects her from wind, rain, and lightening, even as she is unresponsive. One day a massive ship comes to reclaim Eve, but WALL-E, out of love or loneliness hitches a ride on the outside of the ship to rescue Eve. The ship arrives back at a large space cruise ship, which is carrying all of the humans who evacuated earth 700 years earlier. The people of earth ride around this space resort on hovering chairs which give them a constant feed of TV and video chatting. They drink all of their meals through a straw out of laziness and/or bone loss, and are all so fat that they can barely move. When the auto-pilot computer, acting on hastily given instructions sent many centuries before, tries to prevent the people of earth from returning, by stealing the plant, WALL-E, Eve, the portly captain, and a band of broken robots stage a mutiny. [Plot Summary from IMDB].

I like watching Disney's Animated films because it never fail to amaze me. The stories are really great that I loved watching them again. :)

Here are some of Disney's Animated Films that I loved:

Pocahontas, The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians, Treasure Planet, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Dinosaur, A bug's life, Emperor's New Groove, Finding Nemo, Antz and a lot lot more... hahahaha.. Gikapoy ko'g search sa mga photos.. :)

Improvised Bomb found in Hizon Elementary School

My bestfriend Jane and I are talking in the phone late this afternoon. She told me that at around 2 p.m., a bomb was found near their place in Sasa, specifically at Hizon Elementary School. Her neighbor who was a student at the said school rushed to their home with no pair of shoes on his feet and left some of his belongings in their school.

It was said to be a powerful explosive device which is an IED, an 81-millimeter mortar. The IED had been detonated in the area and as of posting time, a post-blast investigation was being conducted. The authorities have yet to determine the suspects and that they have no evidence yet to link the foiled bombing to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. Chief Superintendent Andres Caro (regional police office chief), admitted a possible alliance between some 1,000 members of the communist New People’s Army and 600 MILF members here. "It was a powerful bomb designed to kill," said Caro.

They're still fortunate that the bomb has been found and was not yet exploded by the unkown individuals. My family is a victim of bombing too at the Davao Airport last Marso (March) Kwatro (Four) 2003. I feel somewhat enrage upon hearing this news and to the ones who had nothing to do with their lives than take some actions that would suffer the civilians like us. Why not pour out all their madness to their real target and not the innocent ones? I am hoping they can't sleep at night thinking the cause of their actions. (Bad noh? But can u blame me?)

Surprising PageRanks!

WOW! I am so surprised! I was just curious on what's my Alexa ranking now... And so I tried to check it at SelfSEO.com. It used to be in a million and now it's 362,659. But what surprised me the most is that my PhotoBlog which is only 3 months old has a Google Pagerank of 3! And my sisters Travel Blog which I manage too got a Pagerank of 2! When I checked all my blogsites last month, the only blog that had a Pagerank was my MeiYah's World Blog which is PR 2, and the rest was ZERO! Since when did google update the Pageranks again? Hmmm.. Well, this is good news for me hehehe.. though I badly wanted this main blog of mine to have a PR too... Wow... I was just checking my Alexa Ranking and this Google Pagerank surprised me... Hmm... I really don't have any idea when did those blogs of mine got their PR's... By the way, I tried to check it on prchecker.info and the results are still the same... hehehe... Thanks Google! :) I hope my main blog will gain it's PR back someday...

Musanay Lumadnong Kagikan, Yutang Kabilin Panalipdan! (Flourishing Indigenous Heritage, Protecting Ancestral Nations)

The life and culture of the indigenous peoples have always been linked to the land. Since time immemorial, Davao has been the homeland of the Indigenous Peoples and land has become the core of their existence. If their land is lost, so is their culture and traditions. Thus, there is a need to defend the indigenous peoples’ ancestral lands for them to continually live and practice their way of life- consulting the spirits, working with nature and sharing with others. This is the main reason of celebrating the Kadayawan sa Dabaw 2008.

This year’s celebration has two main components:

Lumadnong Kasaulogan
(Indigenous Peoples Festival) - the core of the Kadayawan Festival showcasing our indigenous peoples’ culture and arts.

Subay sa Lumadnong Kagikan (Contemporary Indigenous-motivated Celebrations) - showcases the impact of the indigenous culture and traditions to contemporary artists and communities.

Our theme for this year is: "Musanay Lumadnong Kagikan, Yutang Kabilin Panalipdan!" (“Flourishing Indigenous Heritage, Protecting Ancestral Nations”)

The official parade route of the 2008 Floral Float Parade is now available online, courtesy of the City Tourism Operations Office and Digilution.

Durian + Pineapple

...Equals? Going to the Comfort Room! That's what happened to me tonight. After having dinner, I went up and do my usual blog rounds. When my Aunt was home, she brought some fruits like bananas, durian and pineapple. I love eating durian, it's one of the fruits that I missed eating while I was away from Davao. So I grab some and wasn't contented I also tried the Pineapple. I asked them if it's okay to eat Durian and pineapple but they don't know. It's yummy, I really love durian! hehehe... After a few hours of blogging, I suddenly felt my stomach aching and I'm farting! hahahaha... Yeah, I hurriedly went to the comfort room and sit on our throne. :( Uurrgghh... I still feel a little ache but It's okay, I can still blog hahaha... Blogging pa rin ang nasa isip... Anyways, if you're caught up in a situation like I did, all I can say is choose only one fruit that you really really wanted to eat. Or you'll end up like what just happened to me. hehehe...

In the afternoon, I was about to go online BUT our computer won't start up! Since I got home there's really a lot of problems with our computer. I don't know what did they do while I was away... I panicked for a while then I started to check the plugs if they were loose. Checked the extension wires and all but still nothing happened. It will start in a matter of 2-6 seconds and would turn off by itself! Waahhh!!! I was really worried. I am thinking ahead already. What will happen to my blogs if this won't really work anymore. I should have posted that Wordless Wednesday post. I can't drop Entrecards and I can't do what I was supposed to do today... I tried t check the plugs again and then I opened our CPU, trying to check if there are any wires tangled up or what. Then I tried to start the computer but still nothing happened. I went downstairs and rest for a bit and I've fallen asleep. When I woke up, the second thing I did after washing my face and so on, was went up again and try to start the computer. And to my amazement, it did! Whew! Kuratan man ko if dili na gyud mo-on bah... I'm so happy, I can blog again... Just wondering what really caused that... I have thought maybe it's the power supply but it was okay now... Maybe it just needed time to relax too or I don't know hehehe... Well, so muchof what had happened to me today... 'Til then...

DYOSA

Dyosa has been finally aired last night next to Singing Bee on ABS-CBN. It stars Anne Curtis in the lead role of a young woman who discovers she can shape shift and have godlike powers. Dyosa is a goddess of the four elements which are Water, Air, Fire, and Earth. Anne Curtis’ character in Dyosa can transform in to Mermaid (half-fish), a Kentaurides (half-horse or Centaur), or a Siren (half-bird).

Actually I don't like the first time I saw Anne on one of the teenage shows in GMA, She's so OA and she don't know how to act. I rarely watch her shows but not until she moved to ABS-CBN and had her own teleserye entitled 'Kampanerang Kuba'. I am seeing a different Anne Curtis at that time, she improved a lot and she's not OA anymore. Her acting skills has improved a lot, really. And then I didn't notice that I always watch her teleserye every night. that's how I started to like Anne Curtis as an actress and not just as a beautiful face on the Entertainment industry. It's really a wise decision of her to transfer to another network.

Okay, back to the topic here's the synopsis from the Wikipedia article on Dyosa

Eighteen-year-old Dyosa is living a normal life as a student, a part-time cosplay model and a loving daughter to her midget parents when she discovers that she is not an ordinary girl. A half-man half-goat appears before Dyosa on her 18th birthday to reveal that Dyosa is actually a goddess, a descendant of Mariang Sinukuan and Bernardo Carpio, who is destined to rule the world of the upper gods.
Dyosa has to make a choice: Will she heed the call of her destiny and save the dying world of the Philippine gods and goddesses and leave the life she has lived for 18 years? Or will she resist her new role as a goddess and give up her powers to stay in the human world with the mortal she loves?

Just a Reminder

Ah Okay! No Comment... Nyahahahaha... hala sorry pastora didn't mean anything pasensya na at nai-post ko ito. *feeling guilty*

Proyekto ni Pangulong Gloria (A Project of President Gloria)

I woke up with the loud noise outside our house. I woke up and look outside the window and this is what I saw... Hmm... Their fixing our Village's roadway. Wow ha! After how many years? I always heard that it will be fixed but nothing happened until now. Our road will not be rough anymore... weee....

Huh! GMA CARES? Do they really have to put that especially her photo? I know I should be grateful because our road's almost finish now but what I just don't like is that big photo of her on that signage. Hhmmm..? What do you think? hehehe....

ChaDik (Chat Addict)

I'm addicted to chatting even before pa. My first was on MIRC where I go for the nick TeDyBaBeS hehehe... then changed to AuDrEy and later on DaNnIcA_nIcOle and then insoMIAH. Lately, I've been switching the last two nicks whenever I go online there which is so seldom na lang.

I was pissed off the last time I logged there. Well, there's this one chatter who wants me to view a certain website, I just can't seem to recall if it's infoslash[dot]net Well, I don't want to check it out (:p). She said it's a MUST SEE site so I said okay since it is a must see, I told her Okay I'll view the site if you'll view mine too. (Murag blog kay x-links) and so I typed my blog link and then I started to click on the site she mentioned. I was blogging at that time too and was making a post. I am still busy typing for that post when all of a sudden my Firefox window was restored down and moved upper right then lower left, in the middle and so on. I was alarmed because I thought it was virus or something. I tried to close it but I can't, there's a pop-up message saying something and I don't like what I was seeing. Uurrgghh! It was funny for others maybe but for me, I didn't like it and I was more focus on typing for my post. But my browser was on tab and so I have no choice but to press CTRL + ALT + DEL for it to stop dancing on my monitor. My sister and cousin was just nearby and I don't want them to think that I'm up to something or that's what I've been busy doing in the Internet. Arrghh! I haven't saved my post yet and that's what irritates me because I have to re-type it again. And I don't know how to start my post again! Waahhh! Kainis! I ignored that someone and I was banned on channel #davao for saying bad things about the one who sent me the link. Then I told the other chatters not to believe on the link he's giving on chat rooms. Well, that serves as a lesson for me, not to trust immediately to someone I don't know. But then I was already used to clicking links here on blog especially to the ones who are leaving messages on my shout box that I forget it's not the same thing on chat rooms. Well, so far no one leaves nasty links on my shout box ever since, and I want to thank you all for that. And lastly ila-ilaha gyud si CTRL + S just in case. Hehehe...

Like when I was in Macau and I've heard the news that the next Beijing Olympic Torch Relay will be held there, I got excited and decided to go there all by myself (Arisgada gyud noh?! hahahaha). Well, It's my first time and it's not everyday that an history event would happen such as that. So, I went to the Fisherman's Wharf where the torch relay would start and end. Lots of people are crowding there including myself and the security's so tight. Well I was patient enough to wait for it to start though it was one hot afternoon and my sweats been dripping off *lol*. It was a great experience and I had fun taking photos but it wasn't easy because everyone's been trying to get a photo too! I felt tired afterwards but there's a big grin painted on my face, I am grateful to have witnessed an event like that. I am just curious, did the torch relay happened here in the Philippines too? I haven't heard of it.

Playing Video Games with XBOX 360

Talking about PC games, video games and any kind of game as long as the game is of good quality and resource, I would play it, or shall I say, we would play that. My sister and brother loves playing video games too. It relaxes us from our tiring day at school or work and it is another way for us to have fun and connect as a family.

There are lots of video game consoles coming out in the market nowadays but what we've been wanting to play have is an XBOX 360. I know there are a lot of video games to consider but there's a lot of things that made us stick to our choice. It's very cool accessories are fabulous like the wireless controllers that lets you move freely and it's play and charge kit allows you to play even without pausing. It's Quick Charge Kit can recharge two packs at a time within two hours! And It's Joytech 360 Wheel which makes your virtual ride a more lifelike experience.

There is also one special thing that the Xbox 360 has which is an easy-to-use interface, called the "dashboard," where you can access saved games and the Live arcade, Xbox Live connection, system configurations and access to information stored in the hard drive or on other connected devices, such as music, movies and photos. Cool eh?

File Navigator

My Aunt clear out the things in our storage room. They're cleaning it... I was surprised to see my projects on one corner. It's been a long time since the last time i saw it. Hhmmm... It's so dusty! Well, it's been in the storage for years that's why. Some of it's parts are broken and some are not there anymore. This is our project in Microprocessor System entitled File Navigator. I remember my friends, we used to stay in one place and do our projects there every night 'til early morning. It was very tiring because we still have classes afterwards but it's part of a student's life and we still had fun though, fun learning. hehehe... I miss those times already and I miss my project buddies too. My insoMIAH este, insomnia started during college days, working all night just to finish some plates and later on our projects.

(Samot na ka-pangit ang hitsura sa miniature! Wahhh!)

Interfacing card....

This is a Wiper Motor we got from the junk shop hehehe... but it's still working... :) We used this motor to make the conveyor run...

The Oh so magulo na circuits. There used to be a box to cover up those circuits but it's broken already hehehe...

See the dusts?? hahaha...

The display and it's circuit... hhmmnn... Can't remember how many times I've burn myself while soldering all these circuits... Countless!

Used the motor from the CD-Rom's to push the file there... see my finger? hehehe... Then the file will fall down to the guide path then to the conveyor... :)

Actually, the File Navigator will automatically push the files from the cabinet when you select the files, which you want to borrow. The keypad is used to input the I.D. number of the user who wants to borrow a file/s and to input the code of the file to be borrowed. The sensor is used to detect the location of the file and the Light Emitting Diode (LED) will light. The seven-segment display will display the numbers of borrowed and returned files in a particular day and can be printed. The system can add/edit/delete a file and the users.

By the way, the program used here is Visual Basic...
