Abandoned Road Project

It's been six months since I last posted a blog about "Proyekto ni Pangulong Gloria (AProject of President Gloria)" and up to now the project is not yet finished... At first I was amazed at how fast those workers had finished doing the road from Lot 1 til Lot 7. After that they were gone and didn't come back to finish the road... It's been months already and when I asked one of our neighbor about it, she told me: "Wala na daw budget, kung kinsa daw ang mu-daog sa 2010 election, mao na ang magpadayon." Hala ka diha! (There's no more budget and whoever will win in the 2010 elections, will be the one who will continue the project.) Wow! Nice excuse but not acceptable... How come they have started doing the road if there weren't any budget in the first place? Tsk... tsk... tsk... Through this incident, you can clearly see how corrupt the government officials are. No wonder they didn't posted the amount of the budget for this road project. I wonder how much money is in the pockets of those corrupt officials now. Imagine they were done cementing the road from Lot 1 until Lot 7 ONLY and there's still a long way ahead til the last house for them to work on.

Would you guys believe that there's really no budget for this project?! I DON'T! Hay naku! Corrupt Officals! Aren't they ashamed, they've been posting their names and even Gloria's Photo saying GMA CARES?!! HAHAHAHA!!! FUNNY!!!

Improvised Bomb found in Hizon Elementary School

My bestfriend Jane and I are talking in the phone late this afternoon. She told me that at around 2 p.m., a bomb was found near their place in Sasa, specifically at Hizon Elementary School. Her neighbor who was a student at the said school rushed to their home with no pair of shoes on his feet and left some of his belongings in their school.

It was said to be a powerful explosive device which is an IED, an 81-millimeter mortar. The IED had been detonated in the area and as of posting time, a post-blast investigation was being conducted. The authorities have yet to determine the suspects and that they have no evidence yet to link the foiled bombing to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. Chief Superintendent Andres Caro (regional police office chief), admitted a possible alliance between some 1,000 members of the communist New People’s Army and 600 MILF members here. "It was a powerful bomb designed to kill," said Caro.

They're still fortunate that the bomb has been found and was not yet exploded by the unkown individuals. My family is a victim of bombing too at the Davao Airport last Marso (March) Kwatro (Four) 2003. I feel somewhat enrage upon hearing this news and to the ones who had nothing to do with their lives than take some actions that would suffer the civilians like us. Why not pour out all their madness to their real target and not the innocent ones? I am hoping they can't sleep at night thinking the cause of their actions. (Bad noh? But can u blame me?)

I woke up with the loud noise outside our house. I woke up and look outside the window and this is what I saw... Hmm... Their fixing our Village's roadway. Wow ha! After how many years? I always heard that it will be fixed but nothing happened until now. Our road will not be rough anymore... weee....

Huh! GMA CARES? Do they really have to put that especially her photo? I know I should be grateful because our road's almost finish now but what I just don't like is that big photo of her on that signage. Hhmmm..? What do you think? hehehe....

I was having breakfast alone when my sister came into our dining room and sit beside me. While eating, we were talking about her upcoming acquaintance party and other stuff regarding her studies. I was about to finish eating when she remembered an incident that happened yesterday and started telling me her story. Anne said: “Ate Che, Kagahapon ba sa village nila Leah, naay mga bata na nagakolekta ug lamaw.” (Ate {appellation for elder sister} Che, Yesterday at Leah’s village there was a group of kids who are collecting leftovers.) I, on the other hand, was about to laugh as I had my last piece of food on my plate thinking ‘what’s she’s talking about? I’m still eating’, but then I just disregard it and still continue listening to her. Anne: “Kada balay sila nagakolekta ug lamaw, nagdala-dala sila ug dako na balde, pagkahuman nihunong sila gi-abrihan nila ang balde ug gitan-aw ang mga sulod. Tpos nakakita man na sila ug pizza ilang gikuha ug gikaon. Grabe noh? Luoy kaayo sila”. (They were collecting leftovers in every house holding a big bucket of it and after that, they stopped and open it and take a glimpse of what’s inside, They then saw a pizza... took it and started eating it. They're so pitiful.)

With our population rising up and the economy's down, it’s the children who are suffering the most. I feel so sorry for those children; a lot of us are still lucky to have fine foods at our dining table while the others out there are busy looking for anything everywhere just to fill their empty stomachs... :(
