Great American Seafood Cook-Off

I love eating sea foods! Talk about crabs and shrimps makes my mouth watery, lol. Whenever my mom got a chance to come here and visit us, she would never miss to cook our favorite sea foods, and man, they're so yummy! Sometimes, we would went out and eat in a sea food restaurant.

Talking about sea foods, I have found a great site, the Great American Seafood Cook Off. The site offers a Win a Trip to New Orleans: RECIPE CONTEST where you just vote and enter on the recipe of your liking and who knows, you might be the next winner?

I like the Texas Gulf Shrimp recipe by Chef Mark Holley. Besides my love for shrimps, what I like more about his recipe are it's unique ingredients. I am not a cook myself and I admit I hardly went to the kitchen and cook. The recipe is a mix of Heirloom Tomato Relish, Prickly Pear Gastrique, Black Beans, Hominy Arepas and Texas Jumbo Gulf Shrimps. Sounds great? Yeah! I wish I can cook this recipe one day, might be fun and I hope it would taste good too.

Are you into seafoods too? Try and visit www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com there are a lot of recipes you can try to choose from.

Written by CaptainStigmata

Are you familiar with this series? I've only manage to watch a few erpisode and it was really funny and entertaining. I don't know where did my sister grab a copy of that DVD but it was cool. Maybe later I'll continue to watch again, hehehe...

WALL-E

Watched WALL-E just this week with a friend. It's a funny, heart warming animated film not just for the younger ones but for the adults too... :)

In a distant, but not so unrealistic future, where mankind has abandoned earth because it has become covered with trash from products sold by the powerful multi-national Buy N Large corporation, WALL-E, a garbage collecting robot has been left to clean up the mess. Mesmerized with trinkets of earth's history and show tunes, WALL-E is alone on Earth except for a sprightly pet cockroach. One day, Eve, a sleek (and dangerous) reconnaissance robot, is sent to earth to find proof that life is once again sustainable. WALL-E falls in love with Eve. WALL-E rescues Eve from a dust storm and shows her a living plant he found amongst the rubble. Consistent with her "directive" Eve takes the plant and automatically enters a deactivated state except for a blinking green beacon. WALL-E, doesn't understand what has happened to his new friend, but true to his love, he protects her from wind, rain, and lightening, even as she is unresponsive. One day a massive ship comes to reclaim Eve, but WALL-E, out of love or loneliness hitches a ride on the outside of the ship to rescue Eve. The ship arrives back at a large space cruise ship, which is carrying all of the humans who evacuated earth 700 years earlier. The people of earth ride around this space resort on hovering chairs which give them a constant feed of TV and video chatting. They drink all of their meals through a straw out of laziness and/or bone loss, and are all so fat that they can barely move. When the auto-pilot computer, acting on hastily given instructions sent many centuries before, tries to prevent the people of earth from returning, by stealing the plant, WALL-E, Eve, the portly captain, and a band of broken robots stage a mutiny. [Plot Summary from IMDB].

I like watching Disney's Animated films because it never fail to amaze me. The stories are really great that I loved watching them again. :)

Here are some of Disney's Animated Films that I loved:

Pocahontas, The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians, Treasure Planet, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Dinosaur, A bug's life, Emperor's New Groove, Finding Nemo, Antz and a lot lot more... hahahaha.. Gikapoy ko'g search sa mga photos.. :)

Improvised Bomb found in Hizon Elementary School

My bestfriend Jane and I are talking in the phone late this afternoon. She told me that at around 2 p.m., a bomb was found near their place in Sasa, specifically at Hizon Elementary School. Her neighbor who was a student at the said school rushed to their home with no pair of shoes on his feet and left some of his belongings in their school.

It was said to be a powerful explosive device which is an IED, an 81-millimeter mortar. The IED had been detonated in the area and as of posting time, a post-blast investigation was being conducted. The authorities have yet to determine the suspects and that they have no evidence yet to link the foiled bombing to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. Chief Superintendent Andres Caro (regional police office chief), admitted a possible alliance between some 1,000 members of the communist New People’s Army and 600 MILF members here. "It was a powerful bomb designed to kill," said Caro.

They're still fortunate that the bomb has been found and was not yet exploded by the unkown individuals. My family is a victim of bombing too at the Davao Airport last Marso (March) Kwatro (Four) 2003. I feel somewhat enrage upon hearing this news and to the ones who had nothing to do with their lives than take some actions that would suffer the civilians like us. Why not pour out all their madness to their real target and not the innocent ones? I am hoping they can't sleep at night thinking the cause of their actions. (Bad noh? But can u blame me?)

Surprising PageRanks!

WOW! I am so surprised! I was just curious on what's my Alexa ranking now... And so I tried to check it at SelfSEO.com. It used to be in a million and now it's 362,659. But what surprised me the most is that my PhotoBlog which is only 3 months old has a Google Pagerank of 3! And my sisters Travel Blog which I manage too got a Pagerank of 2! When I checked all my blogsites last month, the only blog that had a Pagerank was my MeiYah's World Blog which is PR 2, and the rest was ZERO! Since when did google update the Pageranks again? Hmmm.. Well, this is good news for me hehehe.. though I badly wanted this main blog of mine to have a PR too... Wow... I was just checking my Alexa Ranking and this Google Pagerank surprised me... Hmm... I really don't have any idea when did those blogs of mine got their PR's... By the way, I tried to check it on prchecker.info and the results are still the same... hehehe... Thanks Google! :) I hope my main blog will gain it's PR back someday...

The Diary of a Broken Hearted FOOL!

I am but a HopeFOOL one….. A Brokenhearted FOOL… A FOOL in Love… I am nothing but a FOOL!

You make me feel like one… I know you’re laughing your heart out now…. coz I’ve been trapped into your bait…. I listened to my heart and this is what had happened…. I shouldn’t have listened to it… I should’ve not hoped that somehow, I still have a tiny little bit of place in your heart… I should’ve listened to what my thoughts’ conclusions about you…. but this stupid heart of mine couldn’t just accept and stand a second to those conclusions… and so it created it’s own world… a world where YOU and ME just exists… Unfortunately that dream vanished… and so are you…. It HURTS like HELL! I wanted to curse you! I wanted to punch and kick you! Shout at your face on how an A**HOLE you are! but this stupid heart of mine stopped me…. INSANE! Yeah, I know… (makabuang! shit kaau!)

I think the only reason why you came into my life is juts to HURT ME… You’ve hurted me once and I should have learned from that experience… but instead I let myself went into the same situation again…. I thought I was over with you…. then you came into my life again…. The emotions that I thought had been gone was awaken… It was just there all along, resting inside… Then, I let myself fall into your TRAP and CRAP again… I should not have listened to what my heart’s been shouting… I should’ve listened to my mind instead of my heart but I cannot undo what had already happened…. You’ve Broken my HEART again, into bits and pieces… that I don’t know where to start picking up those pieces and bring it back to what it used to be…. The Hurt that I’ve been feeling now is twice or thrice as much as the first time you’ve hurt me…

I’ve cried every now and then just thinking about it… about you… I know how silly and stupid I am to have had believed that somehow you still have feelings for me… I just wished I haven’t met you… I wished that I didn’t went to that job interview on that day so that there’s really no chance for us to have meet… I shouldn’t have met you that day… I shouldn’t be suffering in pain now… How I just wish!

At first you were so kind, so sweet and thoughtful that I have FALLEN IN LOVE WITH YOU… yeah… Accidentally! But things changed, you became cold and arrogant… and I’ve felt that I don’t know you anymore… or that was just the real you? That the things you’ve showed me at first were just one of your tactics… or I dunno… I can’t tell since you weren’t telling me anything…

I thought you said you Love me…. and what a FOOL I am to have believed that, with your sweet words and actions… you’re thoughtfulness and all…. If I could just turn back time to the day before I met you, I would! and I would change it so I could have not met you!

You just don’t know how much it HURTS… The pain you've caused in me... (murag gitusok-tusok akoang dugham! shit!) I’ve TREATED YOU WELL but this is what I got in return…. I wanted to HATE YOU! I really wanted to but WHY can’t I?? WHY???

In my ususal day, I tried to smile to cover up the emptiness and pain, I tried to laugh even if I was hurting inside… I’ve tried to be strong infront of everyone else but in the middle of the night when I am just alone, I cried… just cry and cry… cry my heaRt out til I had no more tears to cry on… You were so MEAN… the Meanest person I ever met… (that was my mind talking but my heart says you’re not, mabuang nako…) How could you do that to me?? I BEFRIENDED you even if it’s painful I still do want you to be my friend… Then I tried not to talk to you and don’t communicate so that I can finally move on and get over you… Then out of the blue, you came again…. you’ll talk to me AS IF NOTHING'S HAPPENED! and now that I’ve slowly moved on you came back again….and you came back again just to hurt me once again…. how cruel of you…. I just wish I can tell this all to you but I can’t… you’re creating a barrier again…. Are you HAPPY with what you’re doing to me? If so I just hope your conscience will knock you down…

Is that what you just see in me?? A kind of game where if you get tired of playing you just stop and walk out without even saying anything? Am I just one of the games you were playing?? How DUMB of me to have asked these questions when I think I already knew the answers… but I just can’t accept it…. coz IT HURTS so much! WHy?? How I wish you would also feel what I’ve been feeling now… I just hope you’ll realize what have you done… I hope someday you’ll realize it… so that you couldn’t hurt anyone the same way you’ve hurt me…

I am trying still trying hard to move on though I don't know how? but this is just what seems to be the right thing to do... it HURTS yet I don't have a choice....
I wanted this madness to end…. I don’t want you coming into my life again just like you used to… hay…. How I wish….. I want you out of my life! out of my system! I don’t want you to come into my life again and just ruin things… just like you used to…. is that a habit if yours already?
I wanted to talk to my friends but where are you guys? I needed you now... as in now na gyud... the only companion I have now is this laptop and beer in my left.... buhos ko na lang lahat sa pag-write... lami kaayo musyagit! hay mabuang na gyud ko... tabang.... Ngano man gud bah... ngano man gud....

I WANT TO FORGET YOU NA!!!! EVRYTHING ABOUT YOU!!!!! GOD… HELP ME….. Help me move one…… (makaya ko kaha ni?) hapit na tingali ko mabuang ani....
Sakit kaayo akoang dughan.... Chai Ze!

Musanay Lumadnong Kagikan, Yutang Kabilin Panalipdan! (Flourishing Indigenous Heritage, Protecting Ancestral Nations)

The life and culture of the indigenous peoples have always been linked to the land. Since time immemorial, Davao has been the homeland of the Indigenous Peoples and land has become the core of their existence. If their land is lost, so is their culture and traditions. Thus, there is a need to defend the indigenous peoples’ ancestral lands for them to continually live and practice their way of life- consulting the spirits, working with nature and sharing with others. This is the main reason of celebrating the Kadayawan sa Dabaw 2008.

This year’s celebration has two main components:

Lumadnong Kasaulogan
(Indigenous Peoples Festival) - the core of the Kadayawan Festival showcasing our indigenous peoples’ culture and arts.

Subay sa Lumadnong Kagikan (Contemporary Indigenous-motivated Celebrations) - showcases the impact of the indigenous culture and traditions to contemporary artists and communities.

Our theme for this year is: "Musanay Lumadnong Kagikan, Yutang Kabilin Panalipdan!" (“Flourishing Indigenous Heritage, Protecting Ancestral Nations”)

The official parade route of the 2008 Floral Float Parade is now available online, courtesy of the City Tourism Operations Office and Digilution.

Durian + Pineapple

...Equals? Going to the Comfort Room! That's what happened to me tonight. After having dinner, I went up and do my usual blog rounds. When my Aunt was home, she brought some fruits like bananas, durian and pineapple. I love eating durian, it's one of the fruits that I missed eating while I was away from Davao. So I grab some and wasn't contented I also tried the Pineapple. I asked them if it's okay to eat Durian and pineapple but they don't know. It's yummy, I really love durian! hehehe... After a few hours of blogging, I suddenly felt my stomach aching and I'm farting! hahahaha... Yeah, I hurriedly went to the comfort room and sit on our throne. :( Uurrgghh... I still feel a little ache but It's okay, I can still blog hahaha... Blogging pa rin ang nasa isip... Anyways, if you're caught up in a situation like I did, all I can say is choose only one fruit that you really really wanted to eat. Or you'll end up like what just happened to me. hehehe...

In the afternoon, I was about to go online BUT our computer won't start up! Since I got home there's really a lot of problems with our computer. I don't know what did they do while I was away... I panicked for a while then I started to check the plugs if they were loose. Checked the extension wires and all but still nothing happened. It will start in a matter of 2-6 seconds and would turn off by itself! Waahhh!!! I was really worried. I am thinking ahead already. What will happen to my blogs if this won't really work anymore. I should have posted that Wordless Wednesday post. I can't drop Entrecards and I can't do what I was supposed to do today... I tried t check the plugs again and then I opened our CPU, trying to check if there are any wires tangled up or what. Then I tried to start the computer but still nothing happened. I went downstairs and rest for a bit and I've fallen asleep. When I woke up, the second thing I did after washing my face and so on, was went up again and try to start the computer. And to my amazement, it did! Whew! Kuratan man ko if dili na gyud mo-on bah... I'm so happy, I can blog again... Just wondering what really caused that... I have thought maybe it's the power supply but it was okay now... Maybe it just needed time to relax too or I don't know hehehe... Well, so muchof what had happened to me today... 'Til then...

Top 10 E-mail Mistakes

If you're like most professionals, you use e-mail in the office on a regular basis. Because of its immediacy and relative lack of intrusiveness, it's the communication method of choice for many workers, including, chances are, your boss. According to a Robert Half International survey, nearly two-thirds (65 percent) of executives polled prefer e-mail over other forms of communication.

While hitting "send" may be an effective way to get your ideas across, doing so too quickly or without a lot of thought can send the wrong message. Here are 10 common e-mail mistakes and tips for avoiding them:

1. A vague subject line.

The subject line not only lets the person receiving the message know what it's about but also provides him or her with a reason to read it. Some people -- and your boss is probably one of them -- get hundreds of e-mails each day and may not have the time to open each of them. The subject line acts as the window into the message and can also indicate its urgency, so be specific with what you write there.

2. No sign-off.

A weak signature is almost as bad as a weak handshake: Both convey a lack of professionalism. A signature at the end of your e-mail should include your e-mail address, physical work address and phone number. Including these details gives recipients multiple means of contacting you. This information is especially important for people to whom your e-mail might be forwarded or individuals either outside the company or in another office.

3. "I'm writing re: the meeting @ 3."

Many people take a casual approach when using e-mail. But what you write is a reflection of your professional self, so take the time to craft complete sentences, use proper grammar and check your spelling. And don't depend solely on your computer's spell-check function, which won't find misused words; review your e-mail carefully before sending it.

4. Going on and on and on.

This strategy might work for the Energizer Bunny, but your goal when crafting a message should be to keep it short. You don't want to write the e-mail equivalent of a novel, so get to the point as quickly as possible, using both short sentences and paragraphs. At the same time, you don't want to write too brief of a message, which could make you appear curt.

5. SHOUTING IT OUT.

Some people like the ease of typing in all capital letters. What they may not realize is this is the online equivalent of shouting, so avoid the temptation of using the caps lock button.

6. Striking the wrong note.

Unfortunately, it's easy for tone to be lost with the written word, especially in shorter messages. An attempt at humor, for instance, may be read as something offensive or inappropriate. If you're not sure how something you wrote will be interpreted, err on the side of caution and leave it out.

7. Weighing others down.

If your e-mail inbox is continually clogged, you know how frustrating it can be to receive large attachments, especially when you don't want them. And, according to a survey we developed, executives agreed, ranking the receipt of large, unsolicited files as the most annoying aspect of communicating via e-mail. Limit the distribution of massive files to people who absolutely need them.

8. Sending to the wrong box.

Before you send a message, always double-check the list of recipients. Many e-mail programs automatically fill in information you've previously typed, such as the e-mail addresses of frequent contacts. If you have multiple people in your address book with similar names, you could mistakenly choose the wrong person and send him or her a message intended for someone else.

9. Mixing business and pleasure.

When the information is confidential or sensitive, this move could limit your career. Any time you use your work e-mail account, the message should be business-related. After all, you are using your firm's resources, and the company has the right to monitor your communication. Get to know your organization's e-mail policy, and have your friends send non-work-related e-mail to your personal account, which you can check at home.

10. Over e-mailing.

Do you find yourself typing a long message in order to avoid confusion on the recipient's part? Do you hesitate to click Send because you think your contact might forward your message to someone who shouldn't see it? E-mail is best suited for quick communication, and, in situations like these, it's wise to call your colleague or speak to him or her in person instead.

With e-mail correspondence becoming increasingly important in the workplace, you can only benefit from learning how to craft an effective message. So keep the above tips in mind the next time you sit down at the keyboard.

Got this from one of my mails and thought of sharing this to everyone. Hope You've had fun reading. Source.

DYOSA

Dyosa has been finally aired last night next to Singing Bee on ABS-CBN. It stars Anne Curtis in the lead role of a young woman who discovers she can shape shift and have godlike powers. Dyosa is a goddess of the four elements which are Water, Air, Fire, and Earth. Anne Curtis’ character in Dyosa can transform in to Mermaid (half-fish), a Kentaurides (half-horse or Centaur), or a Siren (half-bird).

Actually I don't like the first time I saw Anne on one of the teenage shows in GMA, She's so OA and she don't know how to act. I rarely watch her shows but not until she moved to ABS-CBN and had her own teleserye entitled 'Kampanerang Kuba'. I am seeing a different Anne Curtis at that time, she improved a lot and she's not OA anymore. Her acting skills has improved a lot, really. And then I didn't notice that I always watch her teleserye every night. that's how I started to like Anne Curtis as an actress and not just as a beautiful face on the Entertainment industry. It's really a wise decision of her to transfer to another network.

Okay, back to the topic here's the synopsis from the Wikipedia article on Dyosa

Eighteen-year-old Dyosa is living a normal life as a student, a part-time cosplay model and a loving daughter to her midget parents when she discovers that she is not an ordinary girl. A half-man half-goat appears before Dyosa on her 18th birthday to reveal that Dyosa is actually a goddess, a descendant of Mariang Sinukuan and Bernardo Carpio, who is destined to rule the world of the upper gods.
Dyosa has to make a choice: Will she heed the call of her destiny and save the dying world of the Philippine gods and goddesses and leave the life she has lived for 18 years? Or will she resist her new role as a goddess and give up her powers to stay in the human world with the mortal she loves?

ChaDik (Chat Addict)

I'm addicted to chatting even before pa. My first was on MIRC where I go for the nick TeDyBaBeS hehehe... then changed to AuDrEy and later on DaNnIcA_nIcOle and then insoMIAH. Lately, I've been switching the last two nicks whenever I go online there which is so seldom na lang.

I was pissed off the last time I logged there. Well, there's this one chatter who wants me to view a certain website, I just can't seem to recall if it's infoslash[dot]net Well, I don't want to check it out (:p). She said it's a MUST SEE site so I said okay since it is a must see, I told her Okay I'll view the site if you'll view mine too. (Murag blog kay x-links) and so I typed my blog link and then I started to click on the site she mentioned. I was blogging at that time too and was making a post. I am still busy typing for that post when all of a sudden my Firefox window was restored down and moved upper right then lower left, in the middle and so on. I was alarmed because I thought it was virus or something. I tried to close it but I can't, there's a pop-up message saying something and I don't like what I was seeing. Uurrgghh! It was funny for others maybe but for me, I didn't like it and I was more focus on typing for my post. But my browser was on tab and so I have no choice but to press CTRL + ALT + DEL for it to stop dancing on my monitor. My sister and cousin was just nearby and I don't want them to think that I'm up to something or that's what I've been busy doing in the Internet. Arrghh! I haven't saved my post yet and that's what irritates me because I have to re-type it again. And I don't know how to start my post again! Waahhh! Kainis! I ignored that someone and I was banned on channel #davao for saying bad things about the one who sent me the link. Then I told the other chatters not to believe on the link he's giving on chat rooms. Well, that serves as a lesson for me, not to trust immediately to someone I don't know. But then I was already used to clicking links here on blog especially to the ones who are leaving messages on my shout box that I forget it's not the same thing on chat rooms. Well, so far no one leaves nasty links on my shout box ever since, and I want to thank you all for that. And lastly ila-ilaha gyud si CTRL + S just in case. Hehehe...

Beijing Olympics 2008

The opening of the Beijing Olympics 2008 was a tremendous success. I may not have seen it personally not even watched it on television. Hehehe. Hence, I have read and was able to see the photos here on the Internet. All those amazing fireworks display which lasts for 20 minutes and all the performances was really great. If I was just in Beijing, I wouldn't miss that chance to see it live! hehehe...

Whew! Such an amazing fireworks display at the National Stadium.

MIAH BEIJING OLYMPICS 2008 TORCH RELAYMEIYAH BEIJING OLYMPICS 2008 TORCH RELAY

Like when I was in Macau and I've heard the news that the next Beijing Olympic Torch Relay will be held there, I got excited and decided to go there all by myself (Arisgada gyud noh?! hahahaha). Well, It's my first time and it's not everyday that an history event would happen such as that. So, I went to the Fisherman's Wharf where the torch relay would start and end. Lots of people are crowding there including myself and the security's so tight. Well I was patient enough to wait for it to start though it was one hot afternoon and my sweats been dripping off *lol*. It was a great experience and I had fun taking photos but it wasn't easy because everyone's been trying to get a photo too! I felt tired afterwards but there's a big grin painted on my face, I am grateful to have witnessed an event like that. I am just curious, did the torch relay happened here in the Philippines too? I haven't heard of it.

Click here for more stories and photos during the Torch Relay.

Playing Video Games with XBOX 360

Talking about PC games, video games and any kind of game as long as the game is of good quality and resource, I would play it, or shall I say, we would play that. My sister and brother loves playing video games too. It relaxes us from our tiring day at school or work and it is another way for us to have fun and connect as a family.

There are lots of video game consoles coming out in the market nowadays but what we've been wanting to play have is an XBOX 360. I know there are a lot of video games to consider but there's a lot of things that made us stick to our choice. It's very cool accessories are fabulous like the wireless controllers that lets you move freely and it's play and charge kit allows you to play even without pausing. It's Quick Charge Kit can recharge two packs at a time within two hours! And It's Joytech 360 Wheel which makes your virtual ride a more lifelike experience.

There is also one special thing that the Xbox 360 has which is an easy-to-use interface, called the "dashboard," where you can access saved games and the Live arcade, Xbox Live connection, system configurations and access to information stored in the hard drive or on other connected devices, such as music, movies and photos. Cool eh?
If you are planning to buy one too, I suggest you consider to read this Buying Guide and there are variety of games too to choose from.

File Navigator

My Aunt clear out the things in our storage room. They're cleaning it... I was surprised to see my projects on one corner. It's been a long time since the last time i saw it. Hhmmm... It's so dusty! Well, it's been in the storage for years that's why. Some of it's parts are broken and some are not there anymore. This is our project in Microprocessor System entitled File Navigator. I remember my friends, we used to stay in one place and do our projects there every night 'til early morning. It was very tiring because we still have classes afterwards but it's part of a student's life and we still had fun though, fun learning. hehehe... I miss those times already and I miss my project buddies too. My insoMIAH este, insomnia started during college days, working all night just to finish some plates and later on our projects.

(Samot na ka-pangit ang hitsura sa miniature! Wahhh!)

Interfacing card....

This is a Wiper Motor we got from the junk shop hehehe... but it's still working... :) We used this motor to make the conveyor run...

The Oh so magulo na circuits. There used to be a box to cover up those circuits but it's broken already hehehe...

See the dusts?? hahaha...

The display and it's circuit... hhmmnn... Can't remember how many times I've burn myself while soldering all these circuits... Countless!

Used the motor from the CD-Rom's to push the file there... see my finger? hehehe... Then the file will fall down to the guide path then to the conveyor... :)

Actually, the File Navigator will automatically push the files from the cabinet when you select the files, which you want to borrow. The keypad is used to input the I.D. number of the user who wants to borrow a file/s and to input the code of the file to be borrowed. The sensor is used to detect the location of the file and the Light Emitting Diode (LED) will light. The seven-segment display will display the numbers of borrowed and returned files in a particular day and can be printed. The system can add/edit/delete a file and the users.

By the way, the program used here is Visual Basic...

Human Behavior: Mind over Heart? Or Heart Over Mind

I just want to share this piece to everyone... This isn't mine but from someone I usually called 'Antot' hehehe... We we're talking a while ago and she had a lot of reflection papers on hand so I grabbed one and started to read and this is what's written on the paper...

KRIIING!!! Early in the morning, it is our mind that decides whether we get up or no which we use in learning our lessons everyday, and it is our mind, which we use to remember what we have been thought. But when we love, is it mind over heart or heart over mind? For me, it is simple. Where do we create the properties of our ideal man: in our mind. Which is triggered when we hold hands with our lovers: the neurons in our hands, which sends signals to the brain, which commands our heart beat faster, then we feel the rush of blood. Every sensation that we feel is processed by the neurons and the postcentral gyrus part of our mind, which decides whether we feel attraction before it sends signals to our heart.

Love is a state of mind we can fall in or out of love easily if our mind tells us to. The reason why we can't feel attraction for some people is because they don't have the characteristics, which we have stored in mind. The reason why we fall for people who are consistently coming on us is because we realize that they are worth it, still it is the work of the mind. Another reason why people fall easily is because they want the experience of falling in love; they want the feeling of blood and electricity rushing through their veins. For this reason, they will easily fall in love with the person who gives them extra attention. Now, consider this situation, your lover has a problem with his heart and he is considering the idea of a transplant. Or your lover was involved in a car accident and the incident put him in a state of amnesia. A few days after the heart transplant, your lover wakes up and open his eyes. He looks up to you and smiles saying, I still love you. Now, after the car accident, your lover wakes up in the hospital and looks up at you with his wondering eyes saying, who are you? This is the point, when you lose your mind, you forget your memories and the person who you love, thus the heart needs the mind, to stay in love. A change of heart would just mean a different heart in your chest but still it would beat for the same person because your previous behavior and emotions are stored in your brain.

The heart won't fall in love without the permission of the mind. The reason why we are not in love with the person next to us is because we know we can't fall in love with that person. In whatever situation, you are always given a chance to decide whether you'll fall or to determine whether it is love that you're feeling. When someone asks you if you are sure if you're in love, isn't it the you use your mind in making sure? So take your chance and think. Don't rush into love.

Goodbye...

I just made this poem a few minutes ago... and I just want to post it here...

Never encountered so much agony,
but with you it feels more than misery.
tears are flowing steadily,
eyes getting oh so weary.

My grandest dream is now falling
down in the valley of offspring.
You're sweet words now becomes bitter,
wishing to find another much better.

Letting go wasn't easy as ABC,
but a future with you I just couldn't see.
and so I just let time flow
together with your memories off should go.

What's Your Name's Hidden Meaning?

What Jeremiah Means

You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you.

You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries.

You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated.

You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want.

You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.

Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.

Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

Hhhhmmmnn..... Napapa-isip ako, some are true while the others, I don't know... hahahaha...

HAPPY BLOGVERSARY TO ME!

Yeah, yeah! And today is my Blogversary! Whew! One year of blogging, what a waste! nyahahaha.. just kidding... I started blogging at my Friendster blog a few years back but haven't really updated it much. Why? I was so busy with my academic and non-academic activities at school and I was busy too when I had my first job. I had a blog at Livejournal next to my Friendster blog, which I haven't updated for the longest time. Then my bestfriend Rhon was so into blogging told me to have one here at blogger. I was hesitant at first, then my x keep on telling me to have one too at Blogsome which I've forgotten that I have already signed up there and forgot about it after. I just knew about it a few months ago when I was deleting some of my mails, LOL. Well, after a few visit at Rhon's blog, I decided to have one too and so this blog was created last August 04, 2007. And I made my very first post on that day which is "Food for Thought." I was still busy with work at that time so I rarely had a post for months. I only have a few readers and commenter, until I joined a blog community called Bisdak Planet. There, I was able to meet and interact with the other Bisdak members. :) Thank you sa inyong tanan, sa mga pakatawa, ug mga tabang katong newbie pa ko. Salamat! Then I resigned from my job and was bored that I started to blog again... and that's the start of my addiction to blogging... hehehe...

Anyways, I told everyone that I will mention the winner of my contest on my Blogversary but before that I wanted to say Thank You to all the participants. There ar
e only two people who got the right answer, Fernand of feRn's Backyard and Neill of Chess Addict. Unfortunately, Neill don't have an entrecard so that means our winner is none other than my very good friend Fernand Salinas! hehehehe... Congrats Fern! I will transfer the 1,000 Entrecredits to you now... :)

Happy Blogging everyone! Many Thanns to the following participants:

Bad Night

I really had a bad night yesterday. As in, perti gi-testingan akoang pasensya...

First: No internet connection for hours. Again?! (katingalahan pa ba nah?) PLDT MYDSL Hi-Velocity Broadband Internet SUCKS!!! (I'm sorry for the word). Really it S****! It's always like that every night if not, every other night. And sometimes if you're VERY Unlucky, you'll have no Internet connection for a night or a day! Limited Connection or no connectivity! Dah! Ambot! Istoryahon nimo ang operator, ang akoang gipangbuhat mao ra iyahang ginapa suggest na buhaton nako, like off sa ang modem then on again, disable ang connection then i-enable again. Dah! Ambot!

Second: I was playing while waiting for the connection when our computer suddenly shuts down all by itself! When I turn it on again... What's that loud noise? It's like a spinning steel wheel, it's really loud, so I went near the CPU and thought that maybe it's the fan on the left side which creates the loud noise. I turned off the computer then opened the CPU. i pulled out the wire connecting to the power supply and try to turn on again the computer. Now the loud noise was gone...Whew! it was just the fan! Kurat-kuratan man pud tah uie... hahaha...

Third: Then after how many hours of waiting and waiting.. Finally naa na gyu'y internet connection! But after a few hours of browsing our mouse pointer was starting to fade. Can't see it on screen then after a while it's back again. But then, suddenly it stopped and it wont move an inch! What happen?! WWaahhhh!!! So, I check out it's cord, okay naman. I remove the cord and place it back a few times but it's still not working. Waaahhh!!! Naunsa na man tawon ni uie. I already had an internet connection but I can't browse on the net naman. Gi-atay! Kabalo mo anang feeling na naay net pero dili ka maka-net? Waahhh!!! Perti! Mura ko'g wati dili kapuyo dili maka-blog! I have to wait for tomorrow to buy a new one. Wah na gyud certified blog addict nagyud koh!

Anyways, I still tried to use the computer even without the mouse's aid. I remember when we had this kind of problem too before and I just tried to use the keyboard as the mouse. But I forgot the combination keys to press, I just remember the Num Lock. So I've searched it on Google and here is how to turn on your MouseKeys:

Just press ALT + LeftSHIFT + NUMLOCK

By the way, MouseKeys lets you control the mouse pointer by using the numeric keypad on your keyboard. hehehe... Ka-net ra gihapon pero kapuy kaayo ang style, AS IN!!! Lahi ra gyud pag naay mouse.

Well, that's just what happened last night... Whew!

Memory Walk for a Cause

When it comes to old age diseases, there is this one disease that made a lot of impact on us and that disease is none other than the Alzheimer's. What really is Alzheimer disease? Alzheimer's disease, first described by the German neurologist Alois Alzheimer, is a physical disease affecting the brain. During the course of the disease 'plaques' and 'tangles' develop in the structure of the brain, leading to the death of brain cells. Alzheimer's is a progressive disease, which means that gradually, over time, more parts of the brain are damaged. As this happens, the symptoms become more severe. So far, no one single factor has been identified as a cause for Alzheimer's disease. It is likely that a combination of factors, including age, genetic inheritance, environmental factors, diet and overall general health, are responsible. Every 71 seconds, someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and it is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S. Until now there is still no cure for the said disease and I think what all of us can just do is to take part in the Alzheimer's Memory Walk which is one of the nations biggest event to help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research and it calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's. There are walks in more than 600 communities. A typical Memory Walk is a 2-3 mile walk held on a weekend morning in the fall. You will not just have fun walking with your family and friends here, you're helping our world be free from Alzheimers disease.
